Description | In 1786 Wilson writes that Summerhill House, on the outskirts of Loughrea, was the seat of Mr. Persse. By the time of Griffith's Valuation in the 1850s, the property was occupied by Henry Dolpin, leasing from the Clanricarde estate, when it was valued at almost £8. Parts of the building have disappeared by the 1890s and the site is now part of a school. |
