| Description | This house was built after the publication of the 1st edition Ordnance map as it does not appear there. It is labelled Dromkeen House on the 25-inch edition of the 1890s. At the time of Griffith's Valuation it was leased from the representatives of John Sweeney by Christopher Dowden and was valued at £20. It is still extant. The Dowden family were business partners of the Allman family in their milling enterprises in Bandon during the mid-nineteenth century. |
