Description | Occupied by James Simpson at the time of Griffith's Valuation when the buildings were valued at £20 and leased from the Earl of Lucan's estate. On the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map the name "Gallowshill" is attached to linear set of structures set out in small plots. This has disappeared by the 25-inch edition map of the 1890s and the substantial structure leased by Simpson is located some distance away. The site of this is now almost completely overgrown. |
