Description | An early 18th century residence of the FitzGeralds, their first home in the parish of Turlough. In 1786 Wilson refers to this house as Rockfield Lodge, a seat of Charles Lionel Fitzgerald. It is visible but not named on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map but most of the buildings have disappeared by the publication of the 25-inch map of the 1890s. |
