Description |
Not named on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map but labelled Rigsdale House on the 25-inch map, published in 1899. At the time of Griffith's Valuation it was described as "herd's house" and being leased by the Wheatley estate to the representatives of Benjamin Roberts. It was valued at £10 at the time. In the early 1940s the Irish Tourist Association survey noted that " there is no trace of the old residence of the family. Richard Bird lives in modern residence of Rigsdale". It is still extant and part of a farming enterprise. |
