| Description | The 1st edition OS map indicates the house at this location was known as Auburn Cottage. At the time of Griffith's Valuation it was occupied by Edward Smith {Smyth] leasing from William Green and valued at £23. McTernan writes that Smyth was the agent for Lord Palmerston's estate. At times it was leased by members of the Gethin family. It was demolished in the 1980s when Rathbraughan housing estate was built. |
