| Description | The home of the Knights of Glin, built in the 1780s and later castellated, it is situated on the Shannon estuary. Wilson refers to it in 1786 as" Glyn House, the pleasant seat of Mr. Fitzgerald". In the early 1850s it was valued at £50. The castle is still in the possession of the family but in 2015 was offered for sale. |
