Sandes was leasing this property from the Earl of Listowel's estate at the time of Griffith's Valuation when it was valued at £6 10s.In 1837 Lewis mentions it as the seat of W. G. Sandes. Leet, in 1814, refers to it as the residence of George Sandes. Bary notes that it was occupied by this branch of the Sandes family until the First World War. It was repaired and rebuilt in the 1920s and is still extant. |
