| Description | At the time of Griffith's Valuation, Samuel Shelwell (or Sewell) was leasing this property from the Earl of Listowel's estate when it was valued at £7 15s.In 1814 Leet noted it as the residence of Mrs. Showel. Lewis mentions Ballygrinnan as the seat of S. Sewell in 1837. Bary states that it later passed to the Macauley family who owned it until the end of the twentieth century. |
