Gregg (Longford) Reverend Francis Thornton Gregg attended Trinity College, Dublin and served as curate in the parish of Shrule, County Longford before becoming Rector of Ballymacormick parish. He married Henrietta Johnston. Reverend Gregg was among the principal lessors in the parish of Cashel, barony of Rathcline, County Longford, at the time of Griffiths Valuation in the early 1850s while Thomas Gregg was among the principal lessors in the parish of Killoe, barony of Longford.. Reverend Francis Gregg of Oldtown, Edgeworthstown, was the owner of over 800 acres in the county in the 1870s. He died at Ardagh Rectory in July 1890 and was succeeded by his son, Huband George Gregg.
