Lambart (Beauparc)

This family descend from Oliver Lambart, second son of Charles Lambart, 1st Earl of Cavan, died 1660. At the time of Griffith’s Valuation [publ. 1854] Gustavus William Lambart of Beauparc, county Meath, was a principle lessor in the parish of Kilbeggan, county Westmeath however some of his estate had previously been sold in the Encumbered Estates Court in 1851 and was re-advertised in 1852. Before the sale his county Westmeath estate amounted to over 1,700 acres. In the mid-1870s he is recorded as the owner of 893 acres in the county and 512 acres in county Meath. In 1847 he married Lady Frances daughter of the 2nd Marquess Conyngham and they had four sons and eight daughters.
