He still owned this property in the mid-1870s. He was the son of George Clarke of Hyde Hall, Chester and his wife Elizabeth Rochfort. He was a barrister and author. In 1830 he married Elizabeth Byron and died in England in 1889 (Daily News, London, 3 Oct 1889). |
