| Le Fanu | The Reverend Thomas Sheridan, born in 1687, married Elizabeth daughter of Charles McFadden of Quilca [Cuilcagh], parish of Mullagh, Co Cavan. They were the grandparents of Richard Brinsley Sheridan, the playwright and poet and his sisters Elizabeth who married Henry Le Fanu and Alice who married Henry’s brother Joseph Le Fanu. Joseph Le Fanu held two townlands Cuilcagh and Drumrat, amounting to 392 acres, at the time of Griffith’s Valuation. |
