Name Description
Wrixton (Corratinner) Charles Dawson, youngest son of Joshua Dawson of Castle Dawson, married Sarah Downing of Bellaghy and Rowesgift, county Londonderry. Their eldest son was Rear Admiral John Dawson of Carrickfergus, county Down and of county Cavan. He married his cousin Medicis Downing and had three sons and two daughters. None of their sons had children so the two daughters became co- heiresses. The eldest daughter Thomazine married the Reverend John Bradshaw and had one daughter. Their second daughter Mrs Annabella Wrixon of England owned 514 acres in county Cavan in 1876. Anne Arabella Wrixon of Corratinner, county Cavan, was the wife of the Reverend John Wrixon of the parish of Malone, Belfast. They married in 1847 and had two daughters who are recorded in Burke’s 1904 as Anna Medici Echlin of Ardquin, county Down and Marie Elizabeth Savage-Armstrong of Corratinner. This family held land in the county Cavan parishes of Larah and Killinkere.
