Wallace (Kildallan) In the mid-19th century the representatives of Hugh Wallace held a substantial estate in the parishes of Kildallan and Killashandra, barony of Tullyhunco, county Cavan. In 1853, the Reverend Thomas Sneyd Wallace married Louisa Susanna daughter of Major Benjamin Adams and had three sons. Members of the Adams family also held part of these lands. In 1862, Thomas Sneyd Wallace’s interest was advertised for sale in the Landed Estates Court, the petitioner was William O’Brien Adams. The Reverend T.S. Wallace died in 1863. No persons named Wallace are recorded as owners of land in county Cavan in the 1870s.
