Fitzgerald (Ballinaparka) At the time of Griffith's Valuation Thomas Fitzgerald held land in the county Tipperary parishes of Ballybacon and Newcastle, barony of Iffa and Offa West. In December 1856 he married Catherine Odell of Carriglea, county Waterford. He died soon afterwards as his county Tipperary estate was put up for sale in March 1858 by his devisee-in-trust, Sir John Nugent Humble, Baronet, the grandfather of his wife. In 1851, Thomas J. Fitzgerald was among the principal lessors in the parishes of Aglish and Kilmolash, barony of Decies-within-Drum, county Waterford. In the 1870s Thomas Fitzgerald of Ballinapark owned 2,372 acres in county Waterford.
