Name Description
Lowe (Mallow) Hajba writes that James Lowe of Sally Park, Liscarroll, county Cork, married Sarah daughter of Harmer Bond and that their son George Bond Lowe married Dorothea Woodley in 1809. Sally Park was a ruin by the mid 19th century. George Bond Lowe is well known for the part he played in the Doneraile Conspiracy Trial in the early 1830s. The Lowe estate was in the parishes of Carrigdownane, Castletownroche and Mallow, barony of Fermoy, county Cork. George Bond Lowe did not have any surviving children and his property passed to his relative also named George Bond Lowe. In April 1862 the estate of George Bond Low at Dromina and Willysfort and Sallypark, barony of Orrery and Kilmore and Lisnagourneen, barony of Fermoy was advertised for sale. The sale rental notes the names of the purchasers. In the 1870s George Bond Lowe of Mallow owned 1,378 acres in county Cork.
