Nash (Kinalea)
|
The Nash family seem to have become established in the Bandon area in the seventeenth century. Local sources suggest they may have been from Somerset. Rev George Nash was the principal lessor in the parish of Brinny, barony of Kinalea, at the time of Griffith's Valuation. The estate of the Reverend George Cornwall Nash at Clashanimod, barony of Kinalea, and lands in the barony of East Muskerry were advertised for sale in May 1857. Mathew B. Nash, of Ballinacurra, Bandon, owned over 200 acres in county Cork in the 1870s
