Taylor (Dublin)

In Griffith's Valuation Despard Taylor is recorded as owning land in the parish of Croagh, barony of Connello Lower, county Limerick, and residential property in Swords and Dublin city. He was a director of the Agricultural and Commerical Bank of Ireland in the 1810s and lived at Mount Tallant, Dublin, in 1843. In November 1871 the county Limerick estate of James Cole Taylor, heir at law of Despard Taylor, was advertised for sale. The estate was comprised of 250 acres. Both lots were sold to Mr. White for over £4000.
