Name Description
Blood (Brickhill) Descended from Reverend Neptune Blood, Dean of Kilfenora, county Clare, Neptune Bood married Elizabeth, daughter and heiress of Robert Maghlin of Brickhill, in 1750. Their son and grandson married members of the Roche family, baronets, of county Limerick. At the time of Griffith's Valuation, the estate of Edmund Maghlin Blood was located in the parish of Kilfintinan, barony of Bunratty Lower and in Killonaghan, barony of Burren. In the 1870s he owned 2,502 acres in county Clare. The Bloods were mainly resident in London.
