Name Description
White (Caherblonick) In the 1870s Thomas Warren White, a barrister, of Kildare Street, Dublin, and of Caherblonick, parish of Killinaboy, barony of Inchiquin, county Clare, owned 821 acres in county Clare. He was the son of John White, a lawyer of Lower Mount Street, Dublin, and his wife Isabella Warren, who married in 1795. Thomas married Elizabeth Persse of Roxborough, county Galway in 1825. There was a small residence on his county Clare property known as Caherblonick Cottage. The estate of Thomas's son John Warren White was advertised for sale in March 1880. A number of the lots are stamped "sold" on the rental in the National Archives. John Warren White was living in Queensland, Australia, in 1910. His sisters married Robert George Maunsell of Spa Hill, Limerick and Austin Leslie of Tarbert, county Kerry. Maunsell gives a genealogical history of this family in his book on the Maunsell and their associated families.
