Ledmond

Estate(s)

Name Description
Ledmond William Ledmond was the lessor of several townlands in the parish of Nohaval, barony of Trughanacmy, at the time of Griffith's Valuation. After his death over 700 acres of his estate at Maghlass was offered for sale in the Encumbered Estates Court in November 1857. The sale notice indicates the original lease was from the Blennerhassett estate. In the 1830s the Ordnance Survey Name Books had noted that Daniel Hilliard was acting as agent for a Ledmond who was then a minor.
