Dames | Maunsell Dames was the proprietor of two townlands in the parish of Killoran, barony of Longford at the time of Griffith's Valuation. In the 1870s the estate of Maunsell Dames, resident in Cheltenham, amounted to over 800 acres in county Galway. The Dames family also appear to have had connections with Portarlington, Queen's county [Laois]. |
