| St George (Cam) | In 1703 Henry St George of Athlone purchased lands in the baronies of Athlone and Moycarn, county Roscommon from the Trustees for the sale of forfeited estates. Archibald St George held the townland of Cam (1,009 acres), barony of Athlone, county Roscommon, from the Ecclesiastical Commissioners in the first half of the 19th century. He was a member of the St George family of Woodsgift, county Kilkenny. A. St George, Camma, Athlone, owned 1,008 acres in county Roscommon in the 1870s. This estate was vested in the Congested Districts' Board on 4 July 1913. |
