McEvoy
Edward Francis McEvoy was recorded as owning over 300 acres in county Leitrim in the 1870s as well as lands in counties Longford and Meath. The McEvoy estate was centred on Tobertinan/Tubbertinan in the parish of Rathmoylan, county Meath. In 1850 Edward F. McEvoy married Eliza Browne, daughter and heiress of Andrew Browne of Mount Hazel, county Galway. In the 1870s, Edward McEvoy of Tobertinan, Trim, County Meath was recorded as the proprietor of over 2500 acres in County Longford, as well as over 2000 acres in County Meath and over 300 acres in County Leitrim. At the time of Griffiths Valuation in the 1850s, his estate was among the principal lessors in the parishes of Abbeylara and Columbkille, Barony of Granard, County Longford. His brother, Joshua James McEvoy, married the daughter and heiress of the 7th Viscount Netterville and assumed the name of Netterville. Edward's only child, Pauline, married George de Stacpoole.
