Acheson
James and William Acheson are recorded as the owners of over 800 and 300 acres respectively in county Leitrim in the 1870s. The family estate was at Cavetown near Croaghan, county Roscommon where the family held another 300 acres. At the time of the first Ordnance Survey the Acheson family acted as agents for the Mulloy of Oakport estate.
