Maxwell (Ballymahon)
Thomas Maxwell, whose address is recorded as Ballymahon, was the owner of over 500 acres in County Longford in the 1870s. Kerby Miller suggests that the Maxwells were successful Catholic businessmen who acquired land in the latter part of the nineteenth century and also became politically active.
