Gray (Walderstown)
St. George Gray was among the principal lessors in the parish of Drumraney, barony of Kilkenny West, County Westmeath at the time of Griffiths Valuation. In the 1870s William H. Gray of Dorrington, Drumraney, was the owner of over 1200 acres in the county. O'Brien provides an outline of the history of this family, suggesting that they may originally have had Scottish ancestry and acquired their interest in this Westmeath estate by inheritance from John Dorrington Hackett.
