Montfort
The rental of the estate of Henry Montfort, the younger, of Middletown, parish of Killashee, barony of Moydow, County Longford was offered for sale in the Encumbered Estates Court in May 1853. It included over 1600 acres. Charges on the estate included annuities to the owner's father, Henry Montfort senior. The Freeman's Journal reported that most of the estate was purchased by Michael Quin for £10,000 with one lot purchased by Thomas W. Bond for £1000.
