At the time of Griffiths Valuation in the early 1850s, George T. Mitchell was among the principal lessors in the parish of Killashee, barony of Longford. Mary Anne Mitchell, together with Henry Douglas, was among the principal lessors in the parishes of Clongesh and Killoe at the same time. Reverend George Moore was leasing property from George Mitchell.
