Callwell (Longford)
Nathaniel Callwell was recorded as holding a property known as Toneen Lodge in fee at the time of Griffiths Valuation in the early 1850s. His wife, Mary Olivia Callwell, died there on 2 September 1868 and is interred in the Church of Ireland churchyard in Granard. He is likely the same who was Governor of the Bank of Ireland and a prominent Dublin merchant in the first half of the nineteenth century.
