Potterton (Clerkstown)

At the time of Griffith’s Valuation (publ. 1854) John Potterton was the immediate lessor of the 550 acre townland of Curry in the parish of Lickbla, County Westmeath. In the mid-1870s John Potterton of Clerkstown, Agar, Enfield, County Kildare, was recorded as the owner of 550 acres in County Westmeath.
