Lambert (Longford)
Richard Lambert was among the principal lessors in the parish of Columkille, barony of Granard, at the time of Griffiths Valuation in the 1850s. The introduction to the Dopping-Hepenstall papers collection list in the National Library of Ireland provides detailed background into the relationship between that family and this branch of the Lamberts. It suggests the latter occupied the “Clonsheoge” [Larkfield] estate in County Longford.
