Sandys (Longford)
The Sandys family were associated with the barony of Shrule, County Longford from the 17th century (Census of 1659). The Ordnance Survey Name books noted Creevaghmore as the property of Robert Sandys. The estate of Hamilton Nugent Sandys was offered for sale in the Encumbered Estates Court in April 1852 while that of Edwin Moore Sandys was advertised in January and June 1854.
