Armstrong (Glenmore)
Church burial records show that the Armstrong family were associated with the Glenmore area since at least the mid-18th century. It would appear that they had also intermarried with both the Bickerstaff and Newcomen families as these names were used as forenames within the family. In the 1870s the property held at Glenmore amounted to over 200 acres.
