Valentine, of Mountrath, Queen's County [Laois}, was recorded as the owner of over 5000 acres in County Donegal in the 1870s, together with smaller estates in Limerick Queen's County and Tipperary. His property included land in the parish of Inishkeel, in west Donegal.
