Fiddes/Fiddis
In the 19th century the Fiddes/Fiddis family were resident in the parish of Drumsat, county Cavan. James Fiddes held the townland of Mullatishaughlin at the time of Griffith's Valutation. In 1876, Joseph Fiddes of Clenamally, Scotstown, county Cavan and James Fiddes of Hollywood, Scotstown, owned 24 acres and 313 acres in the county while the representatives of Edward Fiddes, Monaghan, owned 249 acres.
