Waller (Allenstown)

This family, the Wallers of Allenstown, county Meath, held part of the lands of Rantavin, parish of Mullagh, county Cavan, in the 1780s. William Waller married Anna Maria, daughter of the Reverend James Smyth, Archdeacon of Meath and granddaughter of Reverend John Vesey, Archbishop of Tuam. His eldest son, Robert, married Mary Shirley but left no surviving children and his property was inherited by his nephew the Reverend Mungo Henry Noble, who assumed the surname Waller in 1809.
