McManus (Lake View)
Eugene McManus of Lake View, parish of Scrabby, held two townlands in county Cavan at the time of Griffith’s Valuation. A number of documents relating to this family are in the archives of the Cavan County Library and document lands in county Cavan including Drumbriskan, the townland to the east of Bernyhill. In 1876 Eugene McManus of Lakeview, Scrabby, owned 212 acres in the county.
