Potter (Knockbride)

In the early 19th century Thomas Potter held an estate comprised of parts of the adjoining townlands of Creaghcrottagh, Ledonigan and Seefin, in the parish of Knockbride, county Cavan. In the 1850s, Frederick A. Potter held these lands. The Reverend Frederick A. Potter, was rector of Rathconrath, Co Westmeath. In 1813 he married Catherine Devenish Meares. In 1851, he was petitioning the Encumbered Estates Court for the sale of his estate.
