At the time of Griffith’s Valuation in the mid-19th century, the trustees of Elphin Schools, held two townlands in the parish of Knockbride, county Cavan, Beglieve 475 acres and Kilnacross 145 acres. In 1876, the trustees of Elphin Schools, county Sligo, owned 605 acres in county Cavan.
