Davis (Cloncollow)
In the mid-19th century the Misses Davis are recorded as holding land at Cloncollow, parish of Tomregan, county Cavan. The Ordnance Survey Name Book (1836) states that Miss Davis leased it from the Bishop. In 1876, the Misses Davis owned 648 acres in the county while Michael Davis of Athenry, county Galway owned 481 acres in county Cavan. The Misses Davis were living in Dublin.
