Leslie (Cootehill)
William Leslie was the manager of the Provincial Bank, Cootehill, county Cavan, in the second half of the 19th century. He is not recorded as a lessor in the county at the time of Griffith’s Valuation. He had an only son William Moutray Leslie who was appointed a barrister in 1868. In 1876, William Leslie of Cootehill owned 2,354 acres in the county and was its High Sheriff.
