O'Reilly (Drumbannow)
In 1876 Thomas O’Reilly of Drumbannow, Ballyheelin, county Cavan, owned 1,029 acres in the county. At the time of Griffith’s Valuation in the mid-19th century, Drumbannow belonged to Frances Bateman. However in May 1856 Frances Bateman’s estate at Drumbannow and Grouse Hall was for sale in the Encumbered Estates Court. Griffith’s Valuation records a Thomas Reilly holding a townland in the parish of Drumlumman and Thomas O’Reilly held some land in the parish of Scrabby.
