Cooke (Kildallan)
In the mid-19th century William Cook held seven townlands in the parish of Kildallan, barony of Tullyhunco, county Cavan. In 1878, James Richard Cooke, a barrister and second son of James Cooke of Dublin, owned 1,042 acres in county Cavan and 439 acres in county Monaghan. Griffith’s Valuation records James R. Cooke holding land in the county Monaghan parishes of Clones and Kilmore.
