Erskine (Cavan)

The Erskine family were associated with the town of Cavan. In the 1830s, William Erskine was Treasurer of the county and in 1837 was secretary to the Grand Jury. In the mid-19th century the Reverend Henry Erskine held land in the parish of Tomregan while Robert Erskine held land in the parishes of Denn and Killinkere. In 1876, Robert Erskine of Cavan owned 1,328 acres.
