M'Kean/McKean
Eliza M'Kean held some land in Cornacarrow, parish of Aghnamullen, county Monaghan, at the time of Griffith's Valuation (circa 1860) and was occupying Laragh. She appears to be the mother of James M'Kean, son of James McKean and Eliza A. McCrea. He was educated at Athenee Royal College, Ghent. David Leslie of Leslie Hill, county Armagh, also held land in this parish at the time of Griffith's Valuation including some in the townland of Laragh which he sold to James M'Kean through the Landed Estates Court in January 1869 according to The Irish Law Times. James M'Kean may also have bought some of the M'Tear estate in Laragh when it was sold in 1864. His family were already tenants of the McTears. In 1876, James M'Kean of Laragh owned 333 acres in county Monaghan while William M'Kean, land agent, Keady, county Armagh, owned 406 acres in the county. In 1906 James M'Kean held untenanted land in both Cornacarrow and Laragh. See https://www.thesilverbowl.com/documents/newsclippings/1883Jun9-GILMORE-obit.html
