Casey (The Donaghies)
The rental of an estate of 5 townlands amounting to 687 acres and belonging to Edmond Henry Casey was sold in the Landed Estates Court on 13 November 1860. The purchaser was Hugh Kennan. Edmond Henry Casey was the son of Thomas Casey of The Donaghies, Raheny, county Dublin, MP for Kilmallock at the end of the 18th century. Edmond was born in 1803 and married Mary Sandy of Cornwall and they had a number of children. He died in 1873.
