Russell (Kilmacrenan)
Jane Russell was among the principal lessors in the parish of Tullaghobegley, barony of Kilmacrenan, County Donegal at the time of Griffiths Valuation.At the time of Griffiths Valuation in the 1850s, She was recorded as the owner of the Dunlewy estate, amounting to over 2000 acres of mostly mountainous land. She built the Church of Ireland church at Dunlewy, now a striking ruin, in memory of her husband James Russell who died in 1848. By 1906 this estate was in the ownership of Ellen Lingard Monk.
