McNeill (Inishowen)
Captain Hector McNeill of the 2nd Lanark Militia is noted by Hussey de Burgh as the owner of over 1000 acres in County Donegal in the 1870s. He was among the principal lessors in the parish of Moville Lower at the time of Griffiths Valuation in the 1850s. It is possible this was property formerly held on long lease from the estate of the Marquis of Donegall.
